BBK Lawyers
If a debtor fails to settle a debt, despite Action Mercantile's best efforts, it may be necessary to commence legal action.
Action Mercantile may recommend this if the debt is sufficiently large, and it is reasonably likely that the debtor can be served with the summons. At that stage, the client is advised of the costs (charged at the relevant court scale) and the potential risks associated with the legal action. If the client approves the issue of legal action then the matter is referred to the in-house solicitors, BBK Lawyers.
BBK Lawyers have extensive experience in debt recovery matters and practice Australia-wide.
They have direct access to the Victorian Magistrates' Court and the Queensland Magistrates' Court through CITEC. This ensures that documents lodged in those courts are issued and out for service within a 24 hour period (weekends & public holidays excluded). BBK Lawyers can issue proceedings in most courts around Australia.
Clients may contact BBK Lawyers directly for advice and updates on any matters in progress. Full time solicitors are available during normal business hours ensuring that the client's matters are dealt with promptly and effectively. Regular updates on matters in progress are readily available.
